Criminal Complaint Against Karina Milei in Cryptocurrency Scandal

Members of the Civic Coalition, Mónica Frade and Maximiliano Ferraro, filed a criminal complaint against the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, for alleged offenses of bribery, influence peddling, and violation of the Public Ethics Law in relation to the scandal surrounding the cryptocurrency $LIBRA. According to the lawmakers, Milei allegedly solicited bribes and facilitated meetings between the president and the promoters of the digital asset, which is currently under investigation for possible fraudulent acts.

In the judicial presentation, it was highlighted that from the moment the president's implications in this matter were revealed, private conversations emerged, later disseminated, mentioning requests for bribes by the accused. One of the first to point out Milei was trader Hayden Davis, creator of $LIBRA.

Additionally, the complainants allege that in U.S. justice, Milei is accused of having coordinated crucial meetings for the alleged fraudulent scheme. This case has generated increasing tension both politically and judicially, given that the Government has yet to issue an official statement in response to the accusations.
